TWO WRITERS FROM KWALE COME TO SAVE THEIR REGION

Don’t expect someone else from outside to come and change your home. It is only you who can change it.

Well, this is the case for two young writers from Kwale who have come forward to start an initiative to grow writers in Kwale region. The writers, Amina Suleiman and Suleiman Ndoro Jnr (Dr Audi), are the people behind the initiative which goes by the name, Kwale Pen People (KPP).

“We formed KPP not only to grow writers in our home Kwale but also to improve the lives of our people through the mighty pen,” said the President of the Organization, Ms Amina Suleiman.

The initiative, whose name came up with the Secretary General of the organization, Shaffie Mwabundu, is set to be launched on 22^nd December at Kwale County.

Alongside the launch of the initiative, the event will also include the launch of books from young writers from Kwale region who are also affiliates of Kwale Pen People (KPP).

“We are glad to be having 17 members who have already registered to be part of Kwale Pen People till now. To me, I didn’t expect this big number for a start when the idea came. Indeed Kwale has talent that needs to be nurtured,” said the Vice President of the organization, Suleiman Ndoro Jnr (Dr Audi) who is also amongst those who will be launching his books during the launch.
